Embroidery Block of the Month 2011

We had a super time this morning in Racine at the kick-off of Embroidery Block of the Month!

Our project this year is called Celebrations. It’s a seasonal block each month that can be displayed individually, as an of-the-month wall hanging, or put into a stunning quilt at the end of our 12 months.

Marcia had lots to show – she shared great tips and she announced (promised Smile ) that she would make all the mistakes so you don’t have to!

Here she is demonstrating the invaluable Hoop Master.

VIP in Decorah–January 21 & 22, 2011

Deanne brought a stunning project that combined fabric weaving and 3-D – very cool!

Deanne also brought these adorable dresses that her guild is making for children in Africa.

Lookie here! Gail and her speedy needle got one of our all-inclusive, pre-cut wool kits completed. Now when I say all-inclusive, I mean it…right down to the needle and the scissors! =) Great for your purse, because you never can tell when you’ll get a moment to stitch, right?
