On Saturday I returned from a week long business meeting with other independent retail shop owners In Los Angeles. Part of our assignment was to make the trip down Rodeo Drive with a partner (mine was Barb from Watermark in Moline, IL, she was great!) to study and learn about merchandising and shop layout. OH MY...... it was quite an experience......

SALESMEN IN SUITS AND SALESWOMEN IN TIGHT GLITZY DRESSES, NO THANKS, I'LL TAKE THESE SMILING FACES ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!!
I agree, I like the smiling helpful faces of the Pine Needle staff over the cold insincere faces of the expensive stores that make me feel like I need to escape. I like the warmth of your displays over the displays on Rodeo Drive that make me think Oh My Gosh, you got to be kidding.
